Events in Thym reach their inevitable climax as Justin faces his ultimate challenge and events spiral out of control towards tragedy!

A tragic ambush; a traumatic abduction and the rash actions of a youthful squire determined to be a hero, force young King Justin to venture into the wild, dangerous and desolate wastelands of Olbegice. Home of the dreaded, “Splinter,”- it is the one place he should not go!

Yet, go he must! And when he does, he is catapulted into an alien, hostile world of ice goblies, shadow trolls, and renegade trogre slavers. He is also destined to confront the terrifying trogre brigand chieftain, Tyrannus, Leonides Rex, henchman to the awe-inspiring Enchantress of Fear and possessor of “the Dagger of Fear!”

As if that wasn’t enough, the brutal Goblie Autarch Diviso, whose curse has silently stalked Justin’s family for centuries, is still determined to wreak vengeance on the young king for crimes committed seven hundred years previously, and Justin’s arch enemy and nemesis, the cunning spy, Roderick Innuendus, is equally determined to make the king atone for the death of his cousin, the evil gaoler Wormwood. And of course, - the ultimate personification of evil… “The Splinter” itself, is also awaiting the king’s arrival!

Can a minotaur charioteer, turned apprentice physician; the arrival of an unknown prince from another world, and a group of loyal friends, including Ismowd, the golden wolf, Cracklesmoke, the grumpy dragon; Tarquin, a lively young trogre troubador and Sian an inexperienced but brave teenage huntress– guide, save Justin from destruction? And if they can’t, who else will help and will that help arrive in time?
